HiI am a friend of ernesto, photographer and freelance writer, also running an artists project space in London.,
I have worked with ernesto on a number of projects since on and off over the last 10 years
and in fact saw him about a week before his arrest..
My space ios participating at the art car boot fair on brick lane 4th june, i am showing videos and selling some art books and have a few acoustic sets by my van I want to help and draw attention to this situation and there will be thousands of people going to this event..
maybe leaflets a video, or fotos of ernesto something like that an awareness campaign. This would be a good event as ernesto has worked with many of the people, some quite prominent artists
anyway this is happening on june the 4th

2005.11.21Today Is No Music Day
No Music Day ... Bill Drummond - of KLF fame - has decided today should be no music day.
What I decided I needed was a day I could set aside to do nothing but
Bill Drummond.
think what it was I wanted from music. And develop ideas of how that could be
achieved. This day I would call No Music Day.Nice idea. Shame I didn't know in advance or I'd have avoided booking tickets to see the Philarmonia Orchestra perform Mahler's 7th Symphony tonight.

2005.11.14Swen's Blog
Artists mentioned in The Wire
As The Wire is the only tree based music magazine I read on a regular basis I thought a link to Swen's unofficial blog about artists mentioned in The Wire was well worth a link.
Shame about the overload of adverts on it.

2005.11.13Lipreading classes should be free and better supported
A good cause put forward and championed by my dad.
Vote for it here so that LINK can take it forward. You can see the other 'soapbox' opinions here.
- though, obviously, LINK need to have an option for a decent, cross-browser, website, built by someone who knows better than to put spaces in URI's. etc. etc. :-(
Gerry is also interviewed in the October issues of One In Seven the RNID members magazine, with a moving story from my niece Fiona, about his cochlear implant which has given him the ability to hear again. Hopefully he's enjoying the music.

I enquired today about lipreading classes as my hearing has been really bad just lately and i am getting so depressed i can't hear what people are saying. i was shocked to find that the course cost over £100.00 and also that they are held on a wendesday morning when i am at work, why can't they be in the evenings.Yours sincerly Norma Thorpe
